Fall 2012

The New Britain Chorale
The New Britain Chorale performing at First Lutheran Church of the Reformation

The New Britain Chorale’s 2011 Fall Concert is titled “Child of God.” We will once again share the stage with Travelin’ Prayer, an independent mixed-voice sacred music choir directed by Corinne Terlecky. The groups will combine to begin the concert, then each group will sing its own set of pieces, and combine again for a final set. Our accompanist this fall is the incomparable Nathaniel Baker. William Hively, chorusmaster of the Chorale, and Ms. Terlecky will share conducting duties.

The concert is sponsored by the First Lutheran Church of the Reformation Music Series, 77 Franklin Square, New Britain, (860) 224-2475, ext. 14. All rehearsals and the performance take place at First Lutheran.

Rehearsals are 3:00 – 5:30 P.M. Sundays September 11 through October 16, and October 30; 7:00 P.M. Friday November 4; and 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 5. The performance begins at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 6. Pre-concert warm-up is at 3:00 P.M.

New singers are always welcome. You may register at the first rehearsal. The full music packet for new singers is $16. Modest dues are assessed to cover basic expenses.

We have sung a good portion of this program over the past few years. Returning singers may purchase the new music à la carte, indicated by an asterisk (*). The full package of new music is $8. The repertoire list below is meant to help you bring the music you already own.
